It's me!
Hey! I'm Alex, a game designer from Texas. I'm passionate about the collaborative nature of making games and the stories we can tell with them, and the experiences we can share with the people who play the games that we make. The game that I believe was that initial spark of passion for me for this industry was Halo: Combat Evolved - after that opening, the haunting chorus and the Halo ring on the main menu, I was completely sold. From then on, games were about more than killing time or earning the most points, and I was determined to figure out how to make them.
More of me
Outside of gaming, I'm a big fan of the ocean, and I love scuba diving. Coolest thing I've done so far is dive a WWII shipwreck. I'm also a big space nerd and love stargazing and amateur astronomy, and sometime I'm hoping to get a nice telescope to get some awesome deep space photographs with.
As an ocean and outer space fan, sometimes I'm looking anywhere but straight ahead, and I'm always on the lookout for new opportunities to get involved with ocean conservation, space exploration, and just about anything other than dry land.

Even more
When I'm not pretending to be a fish or pretending I understand the astrophysics of a black hole, I've become a bit of a history buff, and I love a good museum. One passion project I hope to one day complete is to gather untold stories of WWII from veterans and survivors and enshrine them in a video game in some way.
Beyond history, I'm a very (very) big movie nerd. If game design somehow wasn't possible, I often say that's where I would be headed. Screenwriting helps me get ideas worked out, even game design-related ideas, and my Baylor University studies inspired a love for the craft in me. I'm anxiously awaiting Denis Villeneuve's next entry into the Dune franchise.
What am I playing?
